Stainless steel is the best metal for contact with food because it doesn’t leave residue and can be maintained perfectly hygienic. Indeed, surgeons’ professional instruments are always made from stainless steel. In Italy, there is no clear legislation which allows citizens to understand the most appropriate materials for tap manufacture, or which could assist producers in selecting ideal metals. Thus, we have made up our own guidelines, in order to safeguard public health and maintain the integrity of our products.
Breschi produces taps made fully from stainless steel, in every detail. Thus, all our taps can be said to be made from “genuine” stainless steel.
We have introduced the concept of “Genuinox”, a rigorous set of rules that we follow for the production of our taps and mixers.
• external metal components are always made from AISI 304/AISI 316 stainless steel
• internal metal components, in direct contact with water, are always fully made from AISI 304/AISI 316 stainless steel
• materials in direct contact with water must not release lead, nickel, or other substances damaging to health.
• the external surface must not change over time and this must be guaranteed by the density of steel used and guaranteed without using protective coverings of any type or coverings which could be harmful to the environment, such as chrome plating.
